We provide live online tutoring and mentorship to students aged 5 to 18, covering a wide range of academic subjects and key stages. As we scale our operations and strengthen our brand, we are seeking a Business Development Executive to lead our expansion into new partnerships, tutor acquisition, and strategic growth channels.
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will play a key role in driving our company’s growth by developing strategic partnerships, recruiting high-quality UK-based tutors, launching new educational offerings, and exploring international expansion opportunities. This is a key role suited for a candidate with experience in the education, tutoring, or EdTech sectors, who understands both the commercial and academic sides of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop partnerships with tuition centres, schools, and educational institutions across the UK to widen our service reach.
- Establish B2B and affiliate collaborations with community organisations and corporate clients.
- Conduct outreach campaigns to attract institutional and group tuition clients (e.g., bulk learning packages for schools or trusts).
- Collaborate with teacher training colleges, universities, and educational bodies to build a domestic talent pipeline.
- Identify British curriculum-based schools and education hubs overseas with demand for online tutoring services.
- Explore franchise, licensing, or collaborative delivery models in high-potential regions such as the UAE, India, and Africa.
- Build commercial strategies to enter new markets without compromising our core values and quality standards.
- Utilise CRM systems to track leads, conversions, partnership performance, and customer lifetime value.
- Identify commercial risks, trends, and new growth opportunities through competitor and market analysis.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial strategy, ideally within the education or EdTech sector.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a relationship-first mindset.
- Understanding of UK education systems including Key Stages, GCSEs, A-Levels, and UCAS processes.
- Self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with international education clients or within franchising/licensing models is advantageous.
